CHUTE’S FAMILY RESTAURANT
Chute’s Family Restaurant (originally Chute’s Coffee Shop) was opened in 1978 by Edward and Gloria Chute of Casco, established as an outgrowth of Chute’s Country Tea Room in Casco, (now Chute’s Cafe and independently owned). Several family members were actively involved in both operations as Chute’s became the favorite of locals and visitors alike.
In 1982 their daughter, Maila and her husband Bruce returned to Maine with their family to put down roots and raise their family of 6. The couple purchased the Windham location after a year on team Chute, continuing their family tradition.
Today the tradition of great food, great service, and home-made bread continues.
